respondents across 22 countries reported experiencing drink spiking at some point in their lives.
Smartwatch safety system
Protection that stays alert when you may not be able to.
ShieldSip does not detect what is in your drink. It tracks what is happening to your body. If your vitals shift in ways that do not match your personal baseline, it checks on you. If you cannot respond with your passcode within 30 seconds, it sends your location to your trusted contacts, activates an alarm, and starts recording audio so you have evidence you can actually use.
Interactive product concept · Patent pendingThe global picture
A hidden crisis with almost no evidence trail.
Drink spiking affects millions of people worldwide. It leads to memory loss, sexual assault, and almost never results in consequences for the person responsible, because victims wake up with no memory and no proof.
of college-age women (18 to 24) reported being drugged since starting college in a study of 8,742 participants.
of victims lost memory during the incident. No memory means no evidence. No evidence means no report.
of spiking incidents are never reported to police. Of those who stayed silent, half said they "didn't see the point."
who were spiked experienced sexual assault during the incident. Most had no memory of it afterward.

The critical gap
The night begins.
Something feels wrong.
Memory becomes unclear.
Hours later, someone realizes something happened.
Most safety tools still wait for someone to ask for help.
But what if they cannot?
How it works
Your body tells the story. ShieldSip listens.
Spiking affects your vitals: heart rate drops or spikes, movement slows, responsiveness fades. ShieldSip builds a personal baseline from your normal patterns, then watches for changes that do not match. It never analyzes your drink. It analyzes you.
Why ShieldSip
What exists today versus what we are building.
Every personal safety app on the market requires you to do something when danger arrives. ShieldSip is built for the moment when you cannot.

Safety Timeline
Preserve context when memory cannot.
When an alert triggers, ShieldSip preserves a time-stamped, encrypted record: your vitals, your location, and with your prior consent, ambient audio. So the story of that night exists even if your memory of it does not.
A Safety Timeline may provide additional context for reporting. It does not prove that drink spiking occurred and does not guarantee that information will be accepted as legal evidence.
Reality check
Here is what ShieldSip cannot know.
A changed heart rate cannot identify a specific drug.
Missing a check-in does not confirm an emergency.
Alcohol, exercise, anxiety, medication, and illness can create similar patterns in your vitals.
A smartwatch alert is not a medical diagnosis.
ShieldSip cannot guarantee your safety. No technology can.
Responsible safety technology should communicate uncertainty, not hide it.
Actively building
Research first. Prototype in motion.
ShieldSip is actively developing its smartwatch and phone experience while building the research, safety, and privacy foundation behind it. Personal baseline calibration adjusts to each user over time, so the system gets better at distinguishing your normal from something unusual.
Collaborate with our team →Research
